A two-vehicle wreck that occurred just after 8 p.m. in front of Wendy’s at 3343 Martha Berry Highway sent one driver to Redmond Regional Medical Center with minor injuries.

Floyd County police responded to the wreck and said it appeared as though Donald Fisher of Rome, who was driving a Chevrolet truck, was turning into the restaurant when the driver of a Toyota truck sped toward him and hit him on the passenger’s side of his vehicle.

The driver of the Toyota truck, whom police did not identify, was taken to Redmond with a minor injury of a cut on his forehead.
