The expansion of Shorter University's Livingston Library is coming along as workers added shingles to the roof of the 18,000-square-foot addition on Wednesday.

The school broke ground on the expansion in December 2010 with plans including a two-story cathedral atrium, a fireplace, soft seating, and study areas.

With the turnover in Shorter U.' administration and it's new stance on academic freedom, we can't assume that all current scholarly materials will populate the shelves of the newly refurbished library.

Well, by the time they get rid of all the scientific texts on geology, paleontology and all other heretical works there should be plenty of room for "other" materials without this addition even being necessary.
