I’M CERTAIN that the “Rome-Floyd Citizens for Progress” committee intends to function, in part, as a rallying point and resource for distributing sound information about upcoming SPLOST elections. In the case of the SPLOST project list for the upcoming vote, to promote this as a vote for “Rome-Floyd “Progress” would be contrary to their mission. Not only are the approved projects not ethical (and some maybe not even legal) under SPLOST law, they certainly are not representative of progress.
In my view they are indicators of poor fiscal planning and budget cutting decisions which did not reflect priority need considerations in years past.
To pass this SPLOST will mean more of the same inefficiency and bail-outs in the years to come.
