ON SUNDAY, Aug. 7, the Rome News-Tribune printed four stories on page 1A. One was about someone training for a triathlon, another was about the tasing incident, (while the other two were about the search for a missing man and the regional transportation SPLOST).

But the newspaper buried the article about the helicopter crash in Afghanistan, where 30 of our finest troops were killed, at the bottom of page 7A.

Where is your sense of priorities? The death of 30 troops in this war should make front-page headlines!

I personally don’t see an inch of that godforsaken land that is worth even one American life. True, our leaders have gotten us into a no-win situation, but God help us when we don’t cry out to high heaven when America’s finest are lost to this war.

The least the Rome News-Tribune could do is let the public know and not hide such information. I just had to get this deplorable situation off my chest. God bless America
