Now that they are teammates in college, the tradition has continued.
Graham, who starred at Coosa, and Hitchcock, who was a standout at Rockmart, both recently completed strong seasons for Gadsden State Community College, and they both took home honors from the Alabama Community College Conference Region 22 Softball Tournament held recently in Alabaster, Ala.
Graham was named to the ACCC All-Tournament team and was also named to the All-League Northern Second Team. Hanna Hitchcock was named to the All-Region Team and earned a spot on the All-League Northern First team.
“We are extremely proud of these student-athletes,” said Gadsden State athletic director Mike Cancilla in a press release. “It is quite an honor to receive this recognition.”
Graham and Hitchcock both made multiple appearances on the Rome News-Tribune All-Area team during their productive prep careers.
