While adults compete in the real Tough Mudder event, children can participate in a Mini Mudder thanks to the Cedartown Junior Service League.

The organization, at the urging of the Polk County Chamber of Commerce, has stepped in to organize a Mini Mudder event on March 12, the same weekend as a national competitive event called the Tough Mudder.

“This unconventional obstacle course is for children in elementary school and will feature 10 to 12 kid friendly obstacles,” said Cedartown Junior Service League member Ahren Lee.

The event will be at Peek Park in Cedartown on March 12 from 3 to 7 p.m. Pre-registration is $5 and guarantees a completion T-shirt. On-site registration is $10. Pre-registration will end on Friday. All checks should be made payable to the Cedartown Junior Service League.

To register, contact Lee at 770-546-1639 or e-mail her at Alee8125@gmail.com for a registration form.
