ATLANTA (AP) — A 53-year-old Woodstock man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to charges that he received thousands of images and videos showing the sexual abuse of young children.

Robert Mienscow was also sentenced Friday to 10 years of supervised release and ordered to register as a sex offender upon his release.

Investigators who raided his home said they found an organized collection of more than 100,000 images and video of child pornography. They said in court records that some of the images showed the sexual abuse of infants and toddlers.

U.S. Attorney Sally Quillian Yates said child porn collectors are "a threat to themselves, their families and the safety of our children."
