Shelley Storey and Nathan Weekley, both of Rome, were married at 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, 2005, at Calvary Baptist Church.

The bride is the daughter of Kenneth and Susan Storey of Armuchee. The groom is the son of Richard and Judy Weekley of Armuchee.

Mac McCurry of Rome performed the ceremony.

A program of wedding music was provided by vocalists Dawn Boyd and Jason Coffman, pianist Laura Burkhalter and organist Marsha Coleman. Selections included “When God Made You,” “The Parents’ Prayer,” “The Prayer,” “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring” by J.S. Bach, “Canon in D” by Pachelbel, “The Bridal Chorus” and “The Wedding March.”

Jennifer Merritt of Armuchee attended the bride’s book.

Taylor Timberlake of Rome was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Samantha Weekley of Armuchee, sister of the groom, Beth Giannakakis of Atlanta and Suzanne Young of Douglasville, cousins of the bride, and Kristin Urquhart of Rome. Kelby Weathington of Rome was flower girl.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father.

Groomsmen were Nolan Weekley, brother of the groom, and Christopher Storey, brother of the bride, both of Armuchee, Eric Ager of Bryantown, Md., cousin of the groom, Ammar Abdellatif of Rome and Brett Hayes of Rockmart. Mikey Conklin of Elsberry, Mo., cousin of the bride, was ring bearer.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the church. Refreshments included the bride’s vanilla cake with vanilla icing and the groom’s German chocolate cake.

The evening before the wedding, a rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents at Provino’s.

Other pre-nuptial parties included a wedding shower given by Jan Hardeman and Ann Tankersley at Victorian Rose Tea Room; a couple’s shower given by Max and Vicki Hill and Bruce and Jocelyn Peace at the Hill home; a couple’s shower given by Jim and Beth Giannakakis and Matt and Suzanne Young poolside at the home of Alan and Evelyn Storey; a shower hosted by the Harbin Clinic vascular lab catered by Backyard Barbeque; a shower hosted by Myra and Ansley Green at Pleasant Valley North Baptist Chuch; and a bridesmaids’ poolside breakfast hosted by Evelyn Storey at her home.

Following a wedding trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, the couple resides in Rome
