The National Weather Service forecast calls for the rain to continue through the night and through the rest of the week.

So far Rome and Floyd County has recorded .73 inches of rainfall since midnight at Richard B. Russell Regional Airport. The airport has recorded 2.43 inches of rain since Sunday.

Tonight's forecast calls for the rain to continue, with a low around 45. Expect a North wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light northeast after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent.
