“I’ve known Bill for about 30 years, he’s been a close friend all these years, and I just felt it was time for us to give back to the community,” Crider said. “All proceeds that we take in, everything, will be donated to the homeless shelter.”
Crider said she normally has three stylists on duty but three others have promised to come in to be able to accommodate a larger crowd.
In addition to the proceeds from hairdressing today, The Hair Connection will also be selling brownies, cookies, cupcakes and other baked goods to help raise money for the Davies shelters.
Davies said projects like this are very helpful to the shelters. “I’m going to be out there getting a haircut myself,” Davies said.
The business will be open from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. and a good many appointments are already on the books, but Crider said she’s got plenty of room for walk-ins.
The Hair Connection is located in the West Towne Square shopping center. Her shop is located in the wing that extends out toward Shorter Avenue, in suite 22.
