The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that the two are preparing to face each other once again during an Aug. 21 runoff in the Clayton County sheriff's race.
This year, Hill is facing 37 felony charges ranging from racketeering to witness tampering while serving his one term in office. Hill, who is challenging the incumbent Sheriff Kem Kimbrough, has denied the accusations.
Officials say that if Hill wins, he could still take office, as long as he has not been convicted. No trial date has been set.
