Local country group Runnin’ Wild Band won the Best Country Band award at last week’s Georgia Music Awards held at The Buckhead Theatre in Atlanta.

The Georgia Music Awards is a multi-genre award show for emerging artists and encompasses talent statewide. Artists throughout Georgia are nominated by their fan base and evaluated by an industry panel on image, brand, quality of music and other criteria.

Runnin’ Wild Band is comprised of Toney Boatner, Jeff Boatner, Brody Maness, Chris Sellers and Russell Boatner.

“This award means so much to us,” said Toney. “We have worked very long and hard for this. We have also worked very diligently to bring a new, and unique sound to country music. Our fans mean the world to us. They have stood behind us all the way and believed in us from the beginning. The Runnin’ Wild Band is all about being the best we can be, and giving 100 percent at each and every show.”
