Final: Braves 6, Intimidators 3

The turning point:

Ross Heffley’s two-out RBI single in the bottom of the fifth broke a 2-2 tie, and the Braves stayed in front the rest of the way to improve to 5-1 on this homestand. The Braves are now 8-2 since the All-Star break, and are in first place in the Southern Division's second-half standings.

Who did what for Rome: The top three

hitters in the Braves’ lineup combined to go 5-for-11 with three RBIs and two runs scored. Leadoff hitter Tony Mueller was 1-for-3, and Kyle Kubitza and Heffley finished with two hits each. Kubitza drove in two runs, and Ryan Query also had two hits.

On the mound: Former UGA star Alex Wood, making his second appearance for Rome, worked three scoreless innings. He allowed one hit with no walks and one strikeout. Navery Moore (4-3) earned the win in middle relief, allowing two runs in three innings, and Ronan Pachero earned his first save with three innings of one-run ball.
