Rome Braves fall to Drive on road

The turning point: Greenville’s David Renfroe broke open a

2-1 game when he blasted a three-run homer in the fifth inning, and the Drive stayed in front from there to send the Braves to their sixth straight loss.

Who did what for Rome: Will Skinner hit his third homer of the season, and Elmer Reyes connected for his first.

On the mound: Starter A.J. Holland pitched five innings, gave up six runs and lost his fifth game of the season. Greg Ross pitched three shutout innings to close the game.

Game notes: The Braves are now 0-4 on the road trip, and are

6-22 on the season.

Next Game: Rome will take on Greenville in Game 2 of the four-game series today at 4:05 p.m.
