Rome police and Rome-Floyd Fire Department officials responded to the scene at the BP station located at 910 N. Broad St.
According to Pfc. Rick Robinson:
Mildred Duck, 67, of a Mountain Creek Road address, pulled out of Spider Webb Drive in her silver Toyota Tacoma onto North Broad Street. She pulled out in front of Jason Cosper, 41, of a Barker Road address, who had also pulled onto North Broad Street after traveling south on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
Cosper hit Duck’s vehicle on the rear passenger side, causing him to wreck and slam into the road.
Robinson said Cosper was alert and conscious as EMS were treating him at the scene. He was taken to Floyd Medical Center for evaluation and treatment.
An FMC spokeswoman said Cosper was released Wednesday evening.
