Man gets sentenced to life in prison
Superior Court Judge Jack Partain on Tuesday sentenced John Russell Morgan II to spend the rest of his life in prison after convictions last week on kidnapping with bodily harm, false imprisonment, burglary and aggravated assault charges.
Because Morgan, 29, of Rocky Face, had three prior felony convictions, the kidnapping with bodily harm charge automatically carried a sentence of life without parole.
