Local Colleges: GHC women take down Chattahoochee Tech

The Georgia Higlands Lady Chargers went on the road and defeated Chattahoochee Tech 66-44 to improve to 22-5 on the season.

The Lady Chargers were led by Shakierya McClendon who ended the night with 20 points. Seandre Lee scored 16 points and pulled down 12 rebounds. Gabrielle Kendall and Manon Cherubini each had 11 points.

The Lady Chargers hit the road again on Saturday as they travel to Cochran to face Middle Georgia College at 1 p.m.

In other college action Wednesday:

CHATTAHOOCHEE TECH MEN 68, GHC 64

The Chargers owned a six-point lead late in the second half but could not hold on and lost 68-64 to Chattahoochee Tech. Leading the way for the Chargers were Matt Welch and Dimychael Ross with 16 points each. The Chargers hit the road again on Saturday traveling to Cochran to take on Mid-dle Georgia College at 3 p.m.
