It has been said many times, “there’s power in prayer”. Rome’s Tea Party believes the true power is in the one to whom we offer our prayers, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
There is no doubt the believers in our nation are wrestling against all sorts of powers, rulers of darkness, principalities and especially spiritual wickedness. We all can see this all over our airways, print media and internet. These sins against our God make this believer think of the Bible verse “Jesus wept” (John 11:35).
Is Jesus weeping now? Is Jesus weeping looking down on his creation and seeing all the corruption and all types of perversion running rampant around our country? What have people done to his creation? Shame, shame.
Rome’s Tea Party is an awesome group of individuals from all religious, political and socio-economic persuasions. This group of like-minded individuals has a powerful focus: Christian values, adherence to our Constitution, fiscal responsibility, limited government and free enterprise. The Tea Party invites all individuals who believe in these principles to come join us and help us promote them and hold our elected leaders accountable just like our Founding Fathers set it up in our Constitution.
The Tea Party would like to publicly thank the following participants in our Concert of Prayer: Pastor Jack Foley, Covenant Presbyterian Church; Pastor Mac McCurry, Pleasant Valley North Baptist Church; Pastor Steve Coyle, Beth Aliyah; Pastor Ernie Woody, Grace Bible Church, Pastor John Geaney, Fifth Avenue Baptist Church; Pastor John Hayes, Mike Morton and Randy Smith. The most beautiful, heartfelt and humbling prayers were offered up for our nation by these dedicated and unafraid pastors and people on this day and the audience joined together for The Lord’s Prayer. We all sang God Bless America to end the Concert of Prayer. Many thanks to all who attended.
