Georgia drops to No.9 in CNBC's best states in the U.S. to do business

CNBC’s sixth annual study of the best states in the U.S. to do business ranks Texas at #1, while Georgia falls from #4 in 2011 to #9 this year.

The list, released Tuesday, looks at how each state stands up in numerous categories, including:

The cost of doing business, Workforce, Quality of Life, Infrastructure and transportation, Economy, Education, Technology and innovation, Access to capital, Cost of living

Georgia lost ground in the education category, CNBC reported.
