During a luncheon hosted by the Greater Rome Chamber of Commerce and Seven Hills Rotary Club of Rome, Daniel Groce a business management instructor at the Whitfield-Murray Campus was chosen as the GOAL Award.

The other semi-finalists for the GOAL award were:

The GOAL program was started in 1971 to highlight technical education and recognize students for both their academic and personal accomplishments.

Troy Peco of the Walker campus was the Rick Perkins award winner.

The Perkins award was initiated in 1991 to honor outstanding instructors who have excelled through innovation and leadership in the technical education classroom.

Jackie Jenkins was awarded with the EAGLE award. EAGLE is an award given to an Exceptional Adult Georgian in Literacy Education.
