Gaines named to commandant’s list at Virginia Tech

Daniel Gaines of Rome has been named to the Dean’s List and Commandant’s List for the second semester of the 2011-2012 academic year at Virginia Tech.

A rising junior, he is pursuing a degree in History with a minor in Leadership. He is an Army ROTC cadet and member of the Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets. In addition, Gaines is a member of the Army Ten-Miler team, serves as a Hokie Ambassador, and is secretary of the G.E.R.M.A.N. Club.

Gaines, a 2010 honor graduate of Rome High School, is the son of Cheryl Bishop and Don Gaines of Rome.
