Former Floyd County Commissioner and state Senate Candidate Chad Whitefield announced today his support of Chuck Hufstetler for the Georgia State Senate. Whitefield announced his intentions to seek the Senate seat in October but withdrew in April to pursue a new business venture. Besides serving as a Floyd County Commissioner from 2006-2012, Whitefield is also owner of Advance Rehabilitation.

“Senate District 52 needs a proven leader and consistent conservative representing us in the Senate. Chuck Hufstetler is someone I have known for a long time to be a conservative leader who has a proven track record of cutting taxes, balancing the budget, and eliminating waste. As a real Republican, Chuck has always been working hard to elect strong conservatives to office,” stated Whitefield.

“Working in the healthcare business, I know that in light of the recent ruling by the Supreme Court on Obamacare, we need someone who will fight Obamacare at the state level. As an anesthetist, Chuck understands the need to fight this big government takeover of healthcare as well as the liberal trial lawyers who oppose tort reform. We need medical professionals like Chuck Hufstetler in the Senate,” stated Whitefield.

“Chad Whitefield’s endorsement means a lot to this campaign and the people of this district. I supported Chad when he was a candidate for this seat. When he had to leave due to his business, I had many supporters call saying someone needed to pick up the conservative guidon and fight for our values. I am proud to be the conservative in this race, and I am honored to have the support of a fellow conservative leader, Chad Whitefield,” stated Hufstetler.

“As a medical professional, I know the impact Obamacare is having on healthcare. Chad is right in that the recent decision by the Supreme Court means “We the People” have to do more to elect conservatives at all levels of the government. As a Senator, I will do all I can to stop Obamacare in Georgia,” concluded Hufstetler.

Congrats Chuck! Huge endorsement for you!

Let's see, I believe it was the huge financial mess that Chad left Floyd County in is why he cut and ran from politics. That is a huge endorsement for Chuck.

Then I notice that Doss got the endorsement of the Georgia Association of Educators today. That's the vote and support of several hundred local teachers and educators. Gee, let's see .... Chad Whitefield or the Georgia Association of Educators ..... that's a close call.

Well considering Chad is conservative and the GAE is a union... I would take Chad all day. Serpent, we all know you and David are dems trying to fool the voters. Anyone notice the union stamp on David's bumper stickers? His money to Roy? His affiliations to the democrats in town?

For a Democrat...yes, the GAE may mean something, but for a true Republican, Loudermilk and Whitefield says it all in this district
