Despite the rain, festivals goers came out for Beerfest 2009 at Heritage Park in downtown Rome Saturday, Sept. 19. Proceeds from the festival benefited the Rome Area Council for the Arts. (Lindy Dugger Cordell, RN-T.com)
Advance sale tickets are now available for $28, which includes sales tax and handling fee. Tickets the day of the festival will be $30, and designated driver tickets will be available at the gate with accompanying paid ticket holder for $10.
Admission includes live music, a 5 oz. commemorative plastic glass and available samples of over 40 beers.
This year’s activities kick off at 1 p.m. at Heritage Park. Participants must have a picture ID to enter and no refunds or exchanges will be granted. No person under 21 may enter. Festival proceeds benefit the Rome Area Council for the Arts.
