Georgia Northwestern Technical College has joined with The Greater Rome Society of Human Resource Management to conduct a Cell Phones for Soldiers drive across the region.

Old cell phones are recycled, and the proceeds are used to purchase calling cards for the troops so they can stay connected with their families.

When donating your old phone, remove the battery or chip to clear the memory.

Donation boxes are located on each GNTC campus:

Floyd County Campus: Building A — receptionist area

Gordon County Campus: Building 100 — receptionist area; Building 300 — room 314

Polk County Campus: Building B — receptionist area

Walker County Campus: Building 500 — upstairs lobby

This drive will end in celebration of Veterans Day on Nov. 11.
