ATLANTA (AP)-- A Texas company is laying off nearly 100 workers in Atlanta.

According to the Georgia Department of Labor, Affiliated Computer Services announced the layoffs Friday. Company spokesman Ken Ericson told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that the job cuts are because of a contract ending with the Georgia Health Partnership in Atlanta.

The jobs will be cut by Nov. 1. The Dallas-based company works with government agencies and commercial clients helping with everything from child support payments to data management to mailroom services.

Ericson said though the company has operations in other states, no other locations are being cut. The company was recently bought by Xerox for $6.4 billion.
