Rome business manager reports $20,000 stolen by employee

A Rome business manager called police to his Shorter Avenue carwash on Friday to report a $20,000 theft allegedly made by an employee, reports stated.

According to the Rome Police Department:

The manager of the carwash located at 2200 Shorter Ave. told officers that an employee had been stealing money from the business. According to the manager, the employee had taken around $20,000 from the business, falsifying bank records to cover his tracks. The manager presented a signed confession to officers.

No arrests have been made at this time.
