Man allegedly altered Loratab prescription

A Rome man remained in jail this morning after allegedly forging a prescription for Loratab, reports stated.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

William Richard Dowdy, 22, of 332 Leafmore Road, was arrested Monday afternoon on a felony charge of forgery in the first degree, reports stated. Dowdy allegedly entered Walgreens Pharmacy with a prescription for 20 7.5mg pills of Loratab that he had altered to be for 30 pills, reports stated.

Dowdy remained in jail this morning.
