A Cave Spring man is accused of posing as a medical professional to get drugs, police said.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Michael Paul Trammell, 32, of 611 Buttermilk Road, tried to get hydrocodone by calling in a prescription to the Kroger Pharmacy on Turner McCall Boulevard on Aug. 6.

Trammell is charged with attempting to obtain drugs by fraud and using a fictitious name or false address when obtaining drugs.

He turned himself in at the jail Tuesday afternoon and remained there Tuesday night.
