FORT BENNING, Ga. (AP) — A Louisiana-based company has landed a nearly $118 million contract for facilities and maintenance work at Fort Benning.

Tiya Support Services, a subsidiary of Baton Rouge, La.-based Keta Group, will take over from Shaw Infrastructure on Sept. 19. Shaw is expected to be a subcontractor for Tiya after the transition occurs.

Fort Benning and Keta Group officials say most of the 300 workers now on the payroll will be given the opportunity to keep their jobs.

Manville Borne, president and chief executive officer of Keta Group, says the contract is for one year, with four option years. It includes maintaining housing and office buildings on post and handling tasks such as repairing air conditioning units and leaky sinks.
