Two employees at Newell Recycling were arrested Wednesday morning after they allegedly accepted some railroad metal to be recycled, reports stated.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Jose Isaics Benavides, 44, of 4119 Alabama Highway, and Maurillo Caldron, 34, of 210 Cherry St., Apt. 2, purchased 700 pounds of railroad metal from an undercover special agent working for Norfolk Southern.

The metal was valued at $250.

The men are charged with misdemeanor theft by receiving. Caldron is also charged with giving false information. Police said he gave a false date of birth and Social Security number.

Both have been released from jail.

1st of all the floyd county cops did not arrest these men .the railroad did they are federal marshalls they do not need the state or local cops to do the arresting, second of all the rr has a scrape yard in cartersville off of inds blvd off of 411 where they keep their scrape in rail cars until they have enough to pull so why do they not watch it where I know ppl go get scrape all they time and sell it to regional in cartersville,I seen it and followed the guy all while talking to the marshalls on the phone,,they got they guy to find out that the guys uncle was over the ones that arrested him,,,he got turned loose
