One woman was injured in a two-vehicle collision on John Davenport Drive on Monday afternoon.

According to officer Trixie Morgan with the Rome Police Department:

A red Chrysler PT Cruiser driven by Artilla Jones of Rome was stopped at the red light, waiting to turn left onto Martha Berry Highway. A burgundy Toyota Tacoma truck, driven by Jason Walker of Rockmart, was behind the Chrysler.

Walker attempted to brake, but collided into the rear end of the PT Cruiser at the intersection, said Morgan.

Jones, her passenger and a backseat passenger in the Chrysler were taken to Redmond Regional Medical Center for nonspecific injuries, said Morgan.

“There was no visible damage on either car,” she said.

Both vehicles were driven off the roadway and outbound traffic was stalled in the turn lane for approximately 10 minutes.

Police did not say if any charges would be filed.
